Good news is you can get i7 8XX for 100 dollar on ebay. This is not recommend CPU unless you can accept med to high setting graphics. As well as it is 4 gen old and saving money.

HD 7790 can equal GTX 650 ti boost on current gaming benchmarks and has higher technical stats more in line with PS4.
I'd definetly recommend a HD 7790 over a regular GTX 650 ti. I'd also probably say get it over a GTX 650 ti boost since really that is just a Nvidia overclocked GTX 650 ti and you can overclock a HD 7790 more than a GTX 650 ti boost because of that probably. Also HD 7790 has higher GFLOPS and lower price.
If you can afford a GTX 650 ti I hope you can afford a *HD 7790* because here they are about the same price. You probably can not afford a GTX 650 ti boost anyways though because they cost more thatn either GTX 650 ti or HD 7790.
I recommend get the Sapphire Radeon HD7790 Dual-X OC Edition 1024MB 128bit DDR5. Can you afford it? It's the best option.
Edited it cause I saw I had said GTX 650 ti instead of HD 7790 in one place by mistake.
Compare GTX 650 ti and GTX 650 ti boost are not grant you over 10 %. So it is not worth a shot.
I can afford the Sapphire HD7790 Dual-X OC 1GB DDR5, it's only about $140 here.
I don't plan to overclock the graphics card anytime soon.
Maybe after a year after pairing it with a better processor.
I'm just looking for the quietest and best gfx at playing games that comes with OC out of the box.
Edit: Also one question.... does the Sapphire HD7790 Dual-X OC 1GB DDR5 require only 1 6pin? To plug in the power supply.
Core i5 650 is a dual core, so yeah... that's why I'd get it for my current build. For my next build I may just leave it on my old pc and get a GTX 760 for my new build
Only one 6 pin. Not only is it better than the GTX 650 ti it is also more power efficient. HD 7790 draws 85w or less, I could run one overclocked to 1200mhz with -20% power.
The HD 7790 and the HD 7990 are currently the two most power efficient cards in the world getting better than 20 GFLOPS per watt.
If I were in your shoes I'd buy the Sapphire HD7790 Dual-X OC 1GB DDR5 for $140~.
I'll go grab the card next week and check how hot it gets, if it doesn't get too hot I guess I might as well overclock it :)
Btw, I saw you play Borderlands on your profile, have you tried Borderlands 2? Is it any good?
Oh okay... and really? I can't either :/
Or maybe it's just some bug on our end o.o
Does it get loud also?
And does it get too hot?
While running alone at 1200mhz 100% load 24/7 operation temps would be between 60-70C.
