Otherwise, what are you trying to connect to that usb port? Did you try multiple USB devices, like keybards, USB flash drives and such to see if it's really the issue with the mobo?
Thanks for the reply. I have various devices connected to my USB 2.0 ports, among them keyboard, mouse a powered USB hub and a bluetooth receiver. I am a bit reluctant to update the BIOS but I might have to do it if it is absolutely necessary.
Anyway, what is usually connected to the problematic usb port?
Well, it's not just one port that stops working. It's all USB 2.0 ports. The 3.0 ports still work without any problems.
You can try to do a system restore as far back as possible, if that doesn't work, your only real option is to update the BIOS, besides reinstalling the drivers.
Yeah, I found out that the new BIOS set all my old resettings on default and I had to change my hard drive settings from AHCI to IDE again to start up windows again. Anyways, thanks a lot for you suggestions, I hope it works now :)
