BSOD on only 1 demo???

Hi guys,

I've started getting this error and its driving me insane. I recently downloaded a steam demo ( castlevania lords of shadow ) and every time i try an open it i get the BSOD with the D1 error on, which from what i understand is normally a driver fault.

The only thing i had changed recently was i installed Toshiba Bluetooth stack to run my wiimote plus in a dolphin emulator so i uninstalled that and the driver but still got the blue screens.

I downloaded blue screen view and it says the two files causing the BSOD are cmudaxp.sys which is an Asus Xonar driver i believe and ntoskrnl.exe.

The thing is the blue screen only happens when launching this demo. every other game works fine and there are no issues when running windows or anything else never had any issues before with this. I'd greatly appreciate any help.

I've also unistalled everything ASUS related and there still appears to be an asus xonar driver in device manager however when i try to uninstall it or install a new one over it i still get the BSOD.

If it's any consolation I have the exact same problem, BSOD evertime I try and load the game. I also have an Asus Xonar :(. Everything else works fine.

i fixed it eventually. I just gave up in the end and did a clean windows install. Must of been the Xonar driver as when i went to install it i got BSOD. After clean install I installed latest driver for the card and it now works!

Don't have the time to do a clean windows install atm, just re installed the asus driver and it's working fine now. Guess it's safe for me to pre purchase now =]

glad to hear its working! running at 60fps locked @ 1080p finally does this games Art justice!

Yeh, the framerate was a bit ropey when I played through it on the ps3, wasn't much better on the 360 either.
