set its desired temp to around 75c
low/min to 0, high to 100%
I set it to %20 and it was slow but noises was there. Then I switched it back %100 and noises changed but it wasn't normal sound of %100 fan speed. There was some electrical noise or something like that. Removed afterburner and I set those from CCC. Same results. It doesn't high RPM fan sound, it is something different.
I thought my CPU fan was going to %100 randomly.
I had similar happen to one of my older cards before and changing the cooler sorted it, though you might have to shop around for one that's compatible with your card. It is possible to find replacements though a lot of people just replace a card at that stage as the dodgy fan could cause heat buildup and damage the thing if it's been running like that a long time, but if it's a good card and still tests ok a new cooler could well be exactly the fix it needs.
My problem is similiar to this one:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTkqRbeHlWA or type HD 7950 rattling noise.
Performance and cooling is good but that noise kills me. I sent it back for repair and it will take 20 days for repair. Now, I'm just watching youtube videos with my motherboard's gpu :)
