i3 build will run around the same price as the amd apu setup
http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i3-3220-vs-AMD-A8-5600K
(ignore the igp/apu scores since its going to use a dedicated card)
and avoid cm power supplies, get a antec, corsair, seasonic, silverstone, or xfx
600w is more than enough for a single gpu setup
ex. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1ls51
and can upgrade to the i5 3570 or i7 3770 if needed
1: Always more up to date
- Hardware and software wise, GPU getting a bit slow for games? Sell the old one and buy a new one, or keep it and run an SLI/XFire config if you have the Mobo/Power supply to support it.
2: Open Platform
- The Steam Workshop opens the doors for numerous game (i.e L4D2, Skyrim, additional maps for FPS Games, like CS:GO) and you're not limited to just games, a PC is a PC, do what you want with it.
3: STEAM SALES
-I haven't paid over $15 for a game in the past 2 years on Steam, and the cost for games DOES add up over the long run.
4: PC exclusives
- There aren't many of them, but games Like Counter Strike, The ArmA Series and the ever so popular Day Z mod, etc, etc.
5: Better graphics
-Though the new consoles will be much more powerful than their predecessors, they will never truly be as fast as a self built, gaming intended PC.
6: More mature people (Debatable)
-Generally, you don't see an 8 year old swearing he'll blow a load in your mom's face on PC, this varies from games to game/system to system, but I haven't ran into too many "Immature" people on here.
All these have their benfits, but it really comes down to what you enjoy, I enjoy PC for the reasons listede above, take what I say with a grain of salt, do what you think will make you happy :D
Get a AMD FX 6300 instead for similar price.
Get a PC not a PS4.
One word: Freedom.
PC has it, PS4 lacks it.
You will be able to run a PS4 emulator on this PC, and a Xbox One emulator, and a Wii U emulator, and emulators for ever single other previous console and handheld console. The HDD is way bigger. All the hardware is better. So on and so forth.
I have a tweaked version of your build and a complete rebuild, both at similar price:
Tweaked version of your build replaces motherboard and CPU only.
$810 before rebates & discounts and $706 after rebates & discounts:

My own complete rebuild at a similar price.
$801 before rebates & discounts and $726 after rebates & discounts:

Always look up a power supply at jonnyguru first.
PC gaming has it's pro's... but honestly, unless you have a particular passion for computing and/or the technology behind it, you'll probably get more bang for your buck out of the PS4. The exclusives on the PC are lacking in every genre but strategy games and RPG's. If you don't like those, you'll just be playing ported console games anyways and likely spending quite a bit more to do it. If the PS3 was any indication, the console exclusives will be varied, unique, top notch efforts.
And it's about the games in the end really, right?
Also you are mistaken, there are emulators for all current consoles and they have been out since the consoles if you know how to find them.
I personally do not use any of them. PC games are more than enough for me.
PCs are where games are made. PCs get the most Indie and exclusive titles, the genuine cutting edge titles and the most competative prices and services in games and softwares.
The only way you're playing PS3/360 exclusives today is on a PS3/360.
The PC does have a ton of exclusives, but as much as I like Antichamber and The Bridge, I would much rather have The Last Of Us, Uncharted, Infamous, Metal Gear Solid 4 or LittleBigPlanet. Granted taste is subjective, but the definition and value of "genuine cutting edge titles" is too. If you don't like strategy games, RPG's or the indie scene... you're pretty much screwed as a PC user.
Have not tested it but there is this Xbox 360 emulator and too many others to count I know most are genuine and work.

"Dolphin" is open source and emulates Gamecube, Wii and maybe going to do Wii U later. (Edit)
