whats wrong with my computer?

ive been having this stutter for 6 months now. its gotten worse to the point of pausing my games for seconds and very annoying.. tried all asorts of driver updates, biosupdates, motherboard driver updates, replacing my gxt 660ti. reinstalling windows and my games. im starting to think this crap is normal becuase ive seen a gtx titan do similar stuttering. should i get a new motherboard? i notice the sound is just starting to make crackling and pop noises on crysis 1,2, farcry3, and company of heroes. very weird.

yes its realtec onboard. i disabled the nvidia sound driver in device manager and i just downloaded the latest realtec driver. every game and even music i listen to crackles. from age of empires 2 to far cry 3.

crackling could be your speakers or headphones or reciever

try a different set of headphones or speakers, or an mp3 player on the speakers

sounds like either a dodgy controller... has it done it since brand new? or only just started doing it? have you changed it to 16 / 24 bit if it supports that? have you tried disabling audio chip in bios > using a driver cleaner ( http://www.guru3d.com/content_page/guru3d_driver_sweeper.html ) to remove all sound drivers and re-enable it and do a fresh driver install,. does it shutter with the sound disabled?


i have a audgity xfi audio extreme pci and never had a problem with it, there only 40 dollars in my region, there is cheaper and better ones out these days as mine is like 3 years old lol

the driver sweeper actually caused the stuttering issue i had a while ago. but i just started to notice it now, im very sensitive to sounds and video so thats why it bothers me to the point of anger.
