83 degrees playing CS:S HD7770
Do you think that's normal for an AMD 7770 not overcloked??

Depends on the ambient temp but that sounds fairly hot.
thats fine under full load
you can ease it up a little by turning on vsync

most gpus can go to 90c+ safely

What brand is your HD 7770? I got a HD 7770 from HIS and mine RARELY ever goes above 60 celsius on any game I've played. :O Could be maybe you have a small case with minimal ventilation perhaps?

I'd say your card is high if it's a rear exhaust like that one ^^^.

Do you have a 120mm fan side intake and 120mm fan rear exhaust on you case at least?

I run 2 6870s with 1 slot space between, spring/fall and winter haven't had them go over 70c vsync off. Summer heat wave 85F-90F in the shade that's another story.
If your case has decent ventilation and the room it's in has a normal ambient temperature, it shoudn't be getting that hot. I would RMA it.

EDIT: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-hd-7770-7750-benchmark,3135-15.html

See above link for a temperature comparison. My earlier statement stands; I would RMA it.

132 degrees is very dangerous. You mean Celsius, right?
I had a 7770 for a while, never topped 70c on standard cooling, 83 sounds kind of high
Download MSI afterburner and tweak your fan profile if you haven't already. Sounds like it's at below 50% fan speed to minimize noise. Having high heat in your case doesn't do your other components any service...
No need to RMA it atleast not till you give re-applying new thermal paste and reseating the stock hsf a try. Trying that shouldnt void any warranties you still have either but you might want to google around to double check before doing it. Most stock pastes are terrible or had a horrible application of both the tim and heatsink from the factory.

MSI hd 7770
I have a small case but i have 1 intake fan blowing straight to the GPU and 2 exhaust fans at the rear and on top of the GPU. I also tried opening the PC side panel and placing a big fan blowing directly inside but temps didnt decrease

I'm waiting to receive a GPU fan Artic Accelero L2 plus http://www.arctic.ac/en/p/cooling/vga/425/accelero-l2-plus.html
Once it reaches 80-83ºC the computer freezes. I'm sure its because of the temperatures

Oh and at idle its at 41ºC

My gpu has been heating at 90c degree on any modern game at 100% fan, so hot it keep crashing my driver and game, but it idle at 32c degree.
I have a 560 ti, is my card faulty?
