How difficult and risky is it to install a water cooling system???

My computer gets dang loud when playing games like Battlefield 3, and since i'm definitely buying Battlefield 4, this could potentially become a much bigger issue down the line, so i'm asking - how difficult and risky is it to install a water cooling system?

Difficult as in how hard would it be for someone who only has experience replacing graphics cards and power supplies?
Risky as in could this water cooling fail in the sense that it leaks or doesn't work?

Also, how expensive is it compared to buying case fans or upgrading CPU (a relatively cheaper solution)?

bf4 will use the same engine as bf3

you can quiet it down with air cooling
212evo is a good cpu cooler and fairly quiet
and haveing a case that holds 120+mm fans will make it quieter too
80mm and smaller fans are noisy

if you want a simple cpu liquid cooler, you cant go wrong with a corsair h60-100 kits

if you want a full custom loop, it will be alot more involved

lol, water cooling is a fairly involved process. Its kind of like racing, it can be as cheap or as expensive as you want it to be, depending on what result your looking for.

You can get an all in one cooler for somene like corsair or nzxt that is really noob proof, just screw it in hook it up and leave it be. Or there's full on custom loops that require the changing of water and or tubes, running viniger or bleach through it to clean it out.

Either way its very risky, if the pump stops your cpu/gpu could overheat and die, if it leaks it could cause a short sircuit and fry what ever component it leaks on and it ifs the board could take other stuff with it.

It can also be very fun, seeing what your pc can actually do when cooling isint really an issue.

I personally started out with an H60 like 3-4 years ago and it went well til the pump died and fried my board (small fire but not out of hand) coz the cpu got to hot. i'm currently running a full loop and it looks good and runs great but i do take the side pannel off and check the connections and feal the tube to see if its getting brittle about once a month.

price? you can get a h60 for like 60-70 bucks or you can go all out like i did and it'll cost over a gran jsut for the cooling solution

Put yourself in my shoes...

I once got a gtx 690, it started getting noisy when playing Dead Island. So I found a custom cooler for my card, learned what type of screwdrivers I needed for these special screws. Got everything I needed, but one screw didn't come out, it wore away.
Thankfully it was not one of the top ones I really needed to get off.

But much later on, I decided to try quad sli gtx 690. Got the card, was even noisier than the other as soon as the PC was powered on. So I tried to do the same thing again. I took all but one of the top screws off. The last damn screw did the same thing again - it wore away. tried every other screw driver to try and compensate for these weak screws. It wouldn't come off.

As a result of this I got so mad I broke the card trying to twist it off XD £800 down the drain, and another £100+ for a pointless 1250w psu.
And yeah I shouldn't have done that.

Oh god, i'm just gonna try out the fans first - I don't have the money to replace multiple parts.
Quick question - would a standard warranty from HP cover an accidental leakage?

Also, since I have the standard (probably bottom of the line) CPU fan from when they built it a year ago, should I think about upgrading that too? If so, what brands should I stick to?
