Will force shutdown harm my computer?

I would have said no not if it's good quality but I don't really know. I would just assume that it would be engineered to be safe for that or else it would not have that button or ability.

Can you not use CTR+ALT+DEL and task manager?

What about the restart button?

I've always heard that is was only ancient systems that got damaged by force shut off and that was way back in the day.

Ive used force shutdown quite a bit and has never harmed mine to the best of my knowledge.

force shutdown doesn't hurt PC
but unstable electricity shock into delicate hardwares (PC parts) does (happens when the PSU is restarted and receives inbound shock).

OS & BIOS nowadays has a recover point (good ones can even provide up to 3 recover points).

always provide a UPS, atleast to match your PC & monitors (don't bother with speakers or gaming keyboards). please note that higher PC spec (PSU especially) requires stronger UPS.

Yes, it can cause harm to both the motherboard and hard drive.

If done enough times it can cause problems, mainly having to do with the Hard Drive(Loss of data etc) and possibly even the RAM.

If you are having problems like that you could have a bigger problem. Hard Drive/RAM Issues can cause problems such as the ones you are having along with driver issues and so forth.
