Windows 7 64 Ultimate Mouse Acceleration Issue
I'm a very experienced pc fps gamer who knows what accel is. I just got a new machine that I'm very excited about and have been looking forward to playing everything with it. Unfortunately, I have been unable to figure out how to remove the accel from windows 7. EVERY GAME I PLAY has massive positive accel on the mouse. Games that i KNOW do not have accel.

I have already ofcourse unticked Enchance pointer Precision
I have already downloaded and installed markc windows fix - does nothing

My previous comp was vista 64 and I believe I had either the wcafix or the accelfix and removed all accel from all games (other then the ones it was hardcoded into).

Using mx500 - as a side note I have also been completely unable to overclock the usb polling rate on this mouse ( I was able to in vista).

Something is screwy here... what am i Missing? Any Ideas?

i have a similar problem, i adjusted my settings that came with my new mouse, and did the same with the computer settings in the control panel. It's not perfect, but I am satisfied. I have windows 7 64 etc. I spent a lot for my mouse and system also and I believe its a conflict issue. Hope this helps somewhat.
thanks for responding. I find it hard to believe that everyone on windows 7 has massive accel.

There must be something to be done. I won't play with it. If i can't figure it out ill go back to vista.
I've never had problems with using Windows 7 Home premium default settings with a Microsoft mouse. With or without their silly "Keyboard n Mouse center" driver nag.
I've heard people say that. But Both my friend and I who use windows 7 both have this issue. I would imagine that 90 percent of people dont even feel it. If you want you can look up how to test for accel. You most certainly have it if you didn't do anything not to. Thanks though.
Incase anyone was wondering. I fixed the issue.

The issue is this - the logitech mx500 only has a certain speed it can handle before no longer tracking. The reason why you overclock the port is to not only get more responsive mouse but to get the insane tracking speed the mx500 can handle at 1000zh. Because I had it functioning at that speed for so long, i forgot this fact.

What was actually the mouse failing to track at 125hz i believed to be accel.

Thanks foreveryone who tried to help! appreciate it!
See thats why I don't like these 3rd party mice. You have to faff around with the settings.
Its because the logitech mx500 is old. Without overclocking it its max handle speed is not very good. When you are able to overclock it to 1000hz it has the ability to handle the fastest movements of any mouse ever (according to my testing done in 2010).
