Need new mouse. Steelseries vs Razer? Suggestions?
I've been putting off buying a new mouse for well over a year and my current one has finally died. I've been using the basic Dell Laser USB 6-Button Mouse[accessories.us.dell.com] because it came with my PC, and up until it started ghost clicking and I ripped the plastic off the left mouse button in frustration (put up with it for many months before it got the better of me), it has been an almost perfect mouse; either that or I've just gotten comfortable with it. I believe I use a fingertip grip with it, my palm rests on the mouse pad. I also enjoy having the extra buttons on both sides (seems like a waste to not have every finger dedicated to separate buttons :) )

I would like to get a nice gaming mouse for once. I can't remember the last time (if ever) that I've used a specifically right handed mouse of any kind or if I would even be comfortable with one. So I've kinda been drawn to either the Steelseries Sensei or the Razer Taipan because they seem quite similar to what I'm used to. I'm not sure if one is marginally better than the other though.

Does anyone have any experience with either mouse? opinions? or can suggest another similar mouse?

TL;DR Sensei, Taipan, or something else?

Thanks, and any feedback is appreciated.

I hate Razer mice. I had three of them over the years and with the third one I wanted to board an elevator with Razer exectives and pass gas to show them my appreciation. I'm talking about frequently having to replug my last Razer mouse to get my PC to remember it; the frequent stalls and jitters. I joined tgforums.co.uk last summer to ask members for recommendations and bought a rock solid Corsair Vengeance M60 FPS mouse with a sniper button. I couldn't be happier.
If you have to choose between the two, Steel series, Razer is honestly overpriced crap. My suggestion, get Logitech MX performance, similar mouse to MX Revolution but way cheaper.

While a bit pricey, MX Revo never failed me, 5 years of flawless service and counting. But if you do like macros and extra buttons, Saitek RAT 7 MMO variant is the best macro mouse you can get, Saitek blows all competition out of the water with their macros.
