upgrading ram from 1333 to 1600 will make litle difference
if buying ram for a new build, its only a few $ more to get a 1600 kit vs a 1333 kit
your board is kidnd of a stretch for a 95w cpu, thats at its limit
if you want to overclock, youll need a better board
Thanks I dont think this is dual, unless I am not reading this correctly?

sorry cant get it to show on forums
yep, but cl 11 is kinda high
1600 cl11 (1600/11=145) is slower than 1333 cl9 (1333/9=148)
check what the xmp profile is and set bios to that
cpuz speed tab, select a dimm profiles are listed
the cl 11 kinda high? is that good or bad? Forgive im new to the cpu-z I screen shot all tabs maybe you could look at them? Thanks
Also I have never overclocked before. While my pc can be overclocked, I never have bvecause I dont wanna screw my only gaming pc up. When I build a 2nd rig, Ill experiment with OC

So 800 x 2 = 1600
Yes you are running at 1600MHz
Ok Thanks. Its my first gaming pc I built, I used some parts from a stock pc*the hard drive and ram* everything else listed was new. Cheers
Enjoy your rig!
replaceing it would not be worth it
running it at 1333 cl9 (jedec#4 profile) would be slightly (<1%) faster, but would make no diff in any game or while streaming
imho, keep it where it is
with that board i would not even attempt to overclock, it has a weak power phase (3+1 limit of 95w) and your cpu is 95w
biostar boards have no vrm protection, and it will start on fire when stressed too much
amd board power phase list
http://www.overclock.net/t/946407/amd-motherboards-vrm-info-database
this mainly deals with 125w cpu precautions, but applies when overclocking 80-95w cpus

Thanks and yeah I was low on cash and settled for a cheap Mobo, figured when and if I ever decide to get into OCing, I would first build a newer rig, then buy a newer mobo so this pc could be a test rig, but atm I only have my standard stock pc and this gaming rig and I refuse to risk this baby on some nub OCing mistake I am sure to make lol. Cheers and thanks for the feedback
DDR3-1600 is 800Mhz. DDR-1333 is 667Mhz
Some vendors and software programs mis-state DDR3-1600 as DDR3-1600Mhz but it's not so.
DDR stands for "Double Data Rate" and thus 800Mhz=DDR3-1600 because 2*800=1600 so it's 1600 speed if it was old single data rate RAM or SDR RAM.
At least so I was told and found many places on the internet.
So you should be extra sure that your DDR3 is actually DDR3-800 400Mhz and not DDR3-1600 800Mhz.
Check your BIOS and also check with your system vendor or the retailer that you originally bought the RAM from. Cause I did notice that your program states "800Mhz" and if they are saying that correctly (and not mistaken) then it is actually already DDR3-1600.
If you are very sure that is is DDR3-800 (400Mhz) then it is something you could reasonably upgrade to double the speed.
The 2 questions then are:
1. Do you need a RAM upgrade?
a. Check your WEI by right clicking "My Computer" and left clicking "Properties". If you don't have "My Computer" on desktop then right click anywhere on desktop and click "Personalize" and then click "Change Desktop Icons" and then select "My Computer" to show.
b. if your RAM WEI is significantly lower than the others then you may need a upgrade.
c. if you know you need a RAM upgrade then I guess you do.
2. Is it worth it to upgrade now or to wait for DDR4 and upgrade then even though you may need a new Motherboard (and will yur CPU still fit the new board?)
3. Is it worth it to upgrade at all or should you just wait and save to build a whole new system?
Double data rate means that ram memory operates on both sides of the internal clock.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double_data_rate
Quoting:
"DDR should not be confused with dual channel, in which each memory channel accesses two RAM modules simultaneously. The two technologies are independent of each other and many motherboards use both, by using DDR memory in a dual channel configuration."
If you had only one ram stick, it would show up as 1600Mhz.
For me it shows 1200Mhz.
