Video card I should buy or you suggest?
Hello, I am building a computer primarily for gaming. I would like to know what kind of videocard I should get. I would prefer to keep it in the cheaper range, I don't have lots of money, but yeah.

I have a EVGA 132-CK-NF78-TR LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard does it matter?

friend of mine has close too the same system as yours except a ASUS 775 board and he runs a GTX 560 with very good results, the system he has was my old system and i ran a GTX 580 on it, the cpu is a Q9650 quad core at 3.2ghz.

These are both about $200. Are all Video/Graphics cards this expensive? Also, are you sure these will work with my motherboard? Just wondering.

I really need this computer :P laptop isn't cutting it anymore; now that I'm getting more into computer gaming.

I am positive they will work on your board as like i said my old sytem which my firend now uses is the nForce 780i with the 775 cpu socket, graphics have gone up in price but search on new egg and amazon and you might find one under 200, i will search also and let you know what i find.

Thank you very much I appreciate it! I shall scout the terrain too.

all the GTX 560 cards on new egg are $159 to $199, these are for the non ti model, the GTX 560ti cost more but there are a few ti 560 cards on new egg under 200 and are a littl better than the standard 560
Mae Borowski 10/fev./2013 às 17:52
Do I have a ti? Isn't mine a TR? I know some of this stuff, but not all. Would I need a GTX 560ti?
Maverick 10/fev./2013 às 17:56
I was refering too the graphics cards as they make a GTX 560 which is what my friend is using and then they make a GTX 560ti, in my opinion the GTX 560 runs very good and the GTX 560ti isn't much better to justify paying 60 bucks more.
Mae Borowski 10/fev./2013 às 17:57
Oh I see. So a GTX 560 is my best bet huh? I'll be able to play stuff like Skyrim and Borderlands and the like?
Maverick 10/fev./2013 às 18:03
yes thats what i would buy, and yes on those games as those are what my friend is playing on his 560 with the nForce motherboard, he is even running MW3 on max but BF3 he has to run a little lower but BF3 is tough on even a high end system.
Mae Borowski 10/fev./2013 às 18:08
That's awesome! I will have to get one of these right hank you for your help good sir!

Have a look here; bargain prices.
I have an amd/ati 6970 2GB and it runs the new Crysis 3 (open beta) with everything maxed out without sweating. It is a small amount over the $200 but well worth it. They overclock well without getting too hot, if you want that. The best one, imo, is the VTX twin fanned with 4 massive copper cooling pipes (2GB), looks a bit ugly but works well. The highest I have seen mine go is 67c when running Crysis 3 maxed out.

You don't have to spend $200 to have a good gaming experience. Before you go out and buy an expensive card what wattage is your power supply? If you have a power supply with less then 500W and want a 560 you will have to upgrade your power supply and thats more just more money on top of the price of the card.

I have a GTX550i that was $129 USD and I've had no problems with it at all. I own all the high end games and the performance has been fine.
