How to remove Windows 7 from a HDD?
Hi all. I just ordered the parts for my new build (very excited), and I have a question. I ordered an SSD to install Windows 7 and some games on. I'm going to be using my current HDD for storage. The question is this. Once I get Windows installed on the SSD and get the system booted up, how do I remove JUST Windows 7 from the old HDD without deleting all of my other files?

just browse to it and delete the windows, users and program files directories

if it wont let you, move everythign you need to another drive, then format it again

Also you might will have to do it in safe-mode.
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Administrative Tools

go here and reformat it after you install windows on hard drive...make sure you go into bios and boot from ssd
If you want to save software. Not happening. Reinstall them. If you want some pictures and some office files. Back those up first. Usually it's all in the user directory. Otherwise, format the HDD and make it fresh. Make sure AHCI is on if not already. Makes the SSD full speed and HDD run nice.
