I just hope Intel release the i7 8 core around the same time, nice excuse to build a new rig i7 8 Core, 4GB GTX 780 would be sweet, now i just have to bring the missus around to the idea.

@wing If you are that eager to spend money why not just get Intel Core i7-3970X Extreme as if anyone nowadays makes full use of 6 cores to begin with unless they video edit lol. I hope the 700's don't have a crippled bus speed like the 660's do 2gb+256bit is all i really want.

Well that's nice of you to give the old but still pretty good comps to the next person, but i said i7 3970X not 3930k although 3930k is already sufficient imo.

This thread should be about the GTX 700 series, not CPUs. Anyway, if I upgrade to a 700 series, I would get the GTX 760 since it will be a fair price.

id wait a while for the price to drop...but its all good.new hardware is always a good thing.

We can't know for sure if it will be "fair" price but i sure hope they increase the bus speed on at leat the 2gb models.

Yeah, I hope for a big speed improvement. I'm anticipating a $300 price tag on it, so I would think it's reasonable considering that I have a 4-year-old i7 CPU.

I'm already getting all exited man! I'm putting items on a list to buy and just talking about new GPU's is making me anxious.

I hope these rumored specs on the 760's and lower of 192bit bus speed are not true. For what they are going to be pricing them at they could at least up the bus speed from last generation.

yeah i hope not as the specs for the 660 and 760 are pretty identical. The hd 8750 on the other hand seems a decent step up over the hd 7750.

I bought a gtx 690, and I'm glad, glad glad glad I tell ya!...

*Falls to knees*
How fast is the new card gonna be Nvidia!? How fast is it gonna be!?

Seriously though. I don't see the point of a newer card unless you are one of those that uses multi monitor setups and needs every high demanding game to run more smoothly on three monitor screens.
