Cheap and reliable usually only go well together if you build a box yourself. With pre-built systems you tend to get what you pay. There are local and small stores that will even build a computer with the components you want, and it doesn't cost that much more. If it has to be a pre-assembled machine from a manufacturer, I'd go with an Alienware or, if it's a laptop, an MSI or Asus, but I'd avoid most other vendors. But that comes at a price.

Do you have any specific offer in mind? Could post the link, just to see how much they are vs. something you can assemble yourself. (Or have someone do it for $50.)
well...i was looking at one i found at target, i sent my one friend(professional) and he said it is better than my moms 1200$ laptop (which is just less of what i need)

The gaming side will be very poor the GT610 is a really weak GPU the rest is ok and you could put a better GPU in later, but it will probably have a crap PSU that might need to be swaped for a better one if you upgrade.
well...like i said...my one friend said its better than my moms laptop, and the laptop is just under what i need...im not a hardcore PC gamer...so i dont need to spend 2000 on a comp...
Yeah but you can still have a awesome PC for cheap ill blast a quick one together to show you.
A GT 610 really is weak, though. It performs worse than some integrated graphics. I mean, if you only play 2D games, then it is fine, but anything a little more demanding will not run well, if at all. The card is mostly intended for office and multimedia stuff. It doesn't say what PSU it has, so I don't know how viable it would be to stick in a better video card (560ti, for example) later on. It also doesn't strike me as overly cheap and I think you can get something better for the same price, but may have to put it together yourself (I'm not too familiar with US prices, but someone will probably link you to a nice set of hardware from Newegg).
This is just somthing quick put together could be tweaked no doubt.

my moms laptop has a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260m in it...and everyone ive talked to said that the GT610 is better
Actually, a GTX 260M performs almost twice as well as a GT 610, but this is really like comparing a VW beetle to another car from the 1970s and trying to determine which is the better vehicle. Neither card is really for gaming.

Look at the post above yours, though. That would be a lovely machine, and a really powerful one (for the money) for the same price. The difference is like night and day between that and the pre-built one. Like ... massive.
well...what would be a good upgrade from that graphica card to would be able to run on the comp ive linked? (reason im not building my own is im clueless when it comes to computer stuff)
also...go look at my inventory, would the 610 have any problem with any of them? also...what settings would i be able to run wow at...nothing could be worse than my old desktop...didnt even come with a graphics card....

GTX260M is a rebranded/tweaked 9800GTX which is a bit faster than a GT610 i think, but there both no good for games.

the 260m runs all my games great...like i said before...im not a hardcore gamer....i think the most demanding game i play is wow, and the 260m can run on untra...things like CoD, BF3, or ACIII, i play on either my PS3, or Xbox, i really only play RTS games on the comp...
I understand not wanting to build a computer, it seems a bit scary at first, but see, why pay the same price for something that is maybe a quarter as good as what ¤☢ωiηg☆zєяσ☣UK¤ posted? It would last you for several years and it would be easy to upgrade. If you know someone who can build computers, just give them fifty bucks and they will put it together for you in an hour. A local store may even do that. It's just that the difference in performance and quality you get is so tremendous, and the money is the same.

The GT 610 can probably run WoW just fine. WoW has low system reqs if you leave stuff like real time shadows off. I mean, the engine is eight years old now. What other cards you can use depends on the power supply (PSU) that the pre-built computer has. Usually they come with a low quality, low wattage one, so your options are limited. The specs don't list details (or I missed them).
so what ur saying is that...the 610 is ok for what im doing....since WoW is the most demanding game i play...if not Company of heroes...
