Mouse very slow while on mousemat

Hey there. I just got a new gel mouse mat for christmas- it is made of some sort of woven material it looks like, but my mouse acts very slow on it. My mouse is an optical one from the Logitech K260 bundle (yeah- not really a gaming mouse...). Any ideas on how to fix the issue, I can play normally without it, but I don't want to discard a present.

Adjust the pointer speed in the control panel in the mouse settings.

What were you using before for a mouse pad? If your mouse is acting up with the mouse pad, then you need to adjust the sensitivity settings.

I was just using the desk. I changed the mouse senstivity, but it makes no difference. If move it very slowly it works, but any sort of normal speed movement makes it cut off and not move :3

It may be the color of the pad.

i have a mk230 kit and a m510 and both mice does not work on dark surfaces
dk borwn, dk blue, black = no movement at all

whats the pattern on the mouse pad?

yeah, its a black pad :/ It is also made of some lightweight woven material, with some sort of gel inside. Thanks rotNdude for the link
