50 hz vs. 60 hz 1080p?
So I just picked up Assassin's Creed 3 and by default it gave me a resolution of 1080p 50 hz. However, I have a 60hz 1080p display. So can anyone tell me what I should be playing at. Will I get better performance if I play at 50 hz or 60 hz?

If anyone can clear this up for me it will be much appreciated. Thank you.

60 Hz 1080p is better way. 50 Hz monitor is old i think.

Hey thanks. Yea I put it on 60 hz and saw no difference really. I just found it strange that the game would put it on 50 hz by default when my monitor is 60 hz. That is the only game which I have seen that has done this.

Anything for a normal monitor interface is good with 60-80 Hz. Below isn't very good and above is only required in special cases.

Not really. Between 50 and 60 Hz are not making biggest different. It is close by 10 Hz. For this years with affordable or unwant 3D, 1080p 60Hz is a recommend montior.
