amdppm.sys
File description: Processor Device Driver
Microsoft Corporation.

I run an intel....should this be on here? I think it may have come with the AMD dual core optimizer from Unreal engine games.

you can uninstall the dual core optimizer, it isnt even needed on most amd systems

I have already done that but it left some files from the AMD corp in my system folder which i promptly delted. However tahts from Microsoft and I cant find any information online.
i dont think the uninstaller cleans everything, but it wont hurt having the files is nothing calls them
other associated files

amdppm.inf
AmdPPM.sys
AmdPPM64.sys
AmdPPM.cat
Associated to the Dual core optimizer or the amdppm.sys?

Guess I will leave it in there then if its meant to be there and not a relic from an AMD installer on an intel system. Thanks.

for the optimizer, sry
Ahh so I guess I should delete it then. But if its related to the optimizer why would the "owner" be listed as microsoft?
amd probably had the driver approved by ms
