Would this laptop run all the new games on Ultra?
Ignore the price (I might get it from a friend for $700) is this laptop worth even buying? Just from a guess (Or maybe from someone that owns the same laptop) would this laptop be able to run all recent games on ultra?

Depends on whats playable to you, consistent 60 fps+ on high/ultra is going to be hard for almost any laptop thats not a 1000 dollars or more. With that out of the way depending on resolution you can definitly play on high maybe ultra depending on the game

Not all gaming laptops are incapable of running recent titles at high/ultra. Depends entirely on the resolution. My Asus G46 runs most modern titles fine at high/ultra, while I managed to find it for just $800. The resolution restraint (1300x768) is what makes it excel with its GTX 660M.

If you want a laptop that can run (most) games in ultra, aim for a GTX 670M or higher. I have a GTX 675M and can run Tomb Raider, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, Borderlands 2 and Bioshock Infinite on high (Tomb Raider, Borderlands and Chivalry are running in ultra settings) just fine in 1080p.

Laptops are not as built for gaming as desktops are. You could get a laptop with an i7-3940XM and GTX 680M SLI and it will run games smoothly on max settings at 1600x900 or above, but it will be uber expensive.
