Do harddrives access frequently used info faster
Seems like if I am playing a game and a map comes up that I never play it will take longer to load. If I commonly play on a certain map will the hardrive load it faster?

Yes, if you load something once it will load faster a second time due to that info being now loaded in cache (memory). There is some on the disk drive itself and there is a cache system that the OS has using RAM.

You think there is enough cache to store a enitre map?

drives only have 8-64mb of cache
and id bet more is used to cache windows files than games

My Windows cache right now out of 16gb of RAM is using 9gb of RAM. You tell me. ;-)
