delay between pushing power button and computer switching on
Hey guys

So last monday i upgraded my computer just fine and it was all going really well

so saturday or sunday i noticed that when i pushed the power button there was a small delay before it powered on, a delay of only a few seconds so i thought nothing of it.
however today its taking a couple of minutes. well actually the only way ive been able to switch it on is to use the switch at back of the power supply then (switch it off then on again) then push the power button after about 2 minutes it starts up,
if i dont do the switch well it doesnt seem to power on at all.

is my power supply already failing? or is there some other reason?

is it taking 2 min to post?
or 2min to start up?

2min to post could be a psu or other hardware problem

2min to start up is a windows issue

What did you upgrade exactly? What motherboard is it? Similar problems I've seen have been motherboard/card related.

when it boots up it does so at a normal speed, its just when i push the power button nothing happens, then about 20 minutes later it turns on.

in terms of what i upgraded to

CPU - Intel I5 3570k 3.4 GHz
Mobo - Asus P8Z77 LX2 intel Z77
GPU - Nvidea GTX 660TI 2GB
RAM - 8GB 1600 MHz
PSU - Corsaire GS 800W

and do fans spin and the light turn on right away?

just thought id update

it seems at the start of the day it will switch on instantly (or atleast for the first time in a long while it will start up) but after that it doesnt seem to boot up at all unless i unplug the power cable from the case or wall then plug it in again after about 20 minutes or so
