oh, avg security software
OP easy way to test this is to go to : https://bitminter.com/test and press the button.
You need a current version of Java AND also your AMD graphics drivers (which are *probably* already installed by defualt by the person who puts it together for you, if not www.amd.com navigate to support and downloads and drivers) installed and then you just need to run it with java (the defualt thing) when the pop up comes up and asks you what you want to do.
It's just a test but you can also get paid $ for doing it if you get serious about it and electricity is cheap enough where you are.
"bitcoins" are a type of digital currency and they are created by "bitcoin miners".
The Megahashes/second (mh/s) thing is just a measurement of how much security encryption processes it can perform per second. Bitcoin specifically is using a security encryption called SHA-256 which was developed and release by the US government. So this test just tests how many SHA-256 "hashes" you can perform per second. It's like a benchmark for security encryption.
Tell me the number is says.
You can do it with your current computer right now just for fun as well.
im not on my new laptop yet, but i will do it on this laptop
your sure this is trustworthy?
You can get rid of it even if you download it by deleting your Java cache.
so if i get this program for my new laptop, would i be able to run it while running games? would i degrade graphics card life? would it put extra strain of the card of cpu? how would i claim said money? What is it actually doing when i run this program, is it using my graphics card?
oh, and my current laptop has a REALLY ♥♥♥♥ Nvidia 330m
and does it affect card lifespan?
I suggest you do some independant research on "bitcoin" because it's just too many questions to answer here on the forum. There is a good page on wikipedia and also a official page and tons of other resources.
something along those lines
I just can't find any benchmarks for the mobile GPUs online.
If you think of trying to make $ from it remember that your electricity costs you $ also.
