Where are you buying this prebuilt computer from? If you are spending that kind of money, you should be getting an SSD for the OS.

ok, what will that do, and also, how do i add games on steam and other files to a second hard drive? (Getting PC from pc specialist)

a ssd will cut the boot time about in half, and browser and other programs installed on it will be nearly instant

when installing steam or other games, select the hdd
you can use the hdd for steam and larger games or other data that doesnt need the speed

Great, thanks mate :-D

Just remember to install each game in the F drive (or whatever your HDD is on) and not the C drive if you do not want to install the game on the SSD, unless you have a high-capacity SSD and have enough room to store a few games in it. A 500 GB SSD or greater will virtually replace an HDD entirely if you can afford one since those are rather expensive. But if you do get a meaty SSD, be sure to get a reliable brand with a generous warranty. Intel offers 5-year warranties on their high-end 520-series Cherryville SSDs.

cool thanks mate, still deciding if i will get 2 drives, just on the bring of my budget, cannot go over lol

This should be enough to store Windows, your basic programs, such as iTunes and Photoshop, and a couple of games. You'll need some extra space to allow for Windows updates.

You don't need an SSD. As far as I'm concerned, Microsoft made Windoze 7 boot slower than Vista, and 8 faster.

Do you really need a K cpu if you are not OCing? Are you going to OC?

I will say that the Asus P8z77 v (Pro) board can be a bit odd. Some people including myself, have these boards that randomly take a minute to POST as well as boot.

And remember what I said about the gtx 690 in that other thread.
Ive decided to overclock, and i am not too botherd about the prices of cards, at the end of the day, the titan is the best, i dont have to worry about if the sli will function to its best, plus the system wont need to upgraded for ages.

Just out of curiosity, what monitor are you using?
BenQ GL2450E 24 inch Widescreen Full HD LED Monitor

You might want to go with the ASUS® P8Z77-V pro it come with better heat singh's on the board for OC.
