Buying 2nd HD 7950, need help with PSU.

Hello,

My single HD 7950 (@1050/1440) is weak for Tomb Raider Reborn and I can't play it with maxed settings. (Currently 1x aa, fxaa, tressfx, everything on ultra, 1980x1020 res, 40-50 fps) I decided to buy second HD 7950 but I don't have any knowledge about PSUs.

My current system;
-W8 x64 Pro,
-HD 7950 XFX Core Edition
-Cooler Master GX 750, 750W PSU
-Z68MA-G43 mainboard
-Corsair GT240 SSD, Seagate 1 TB 7200 RPM HDD
-8 GB Corsair Vengeance Ram
-i7 2600K

Can GX 750 handle 2x HD 7950? I like to overclock both of those cards.

You should be fine with 750 watts and SLi, even with some overclocking.

Any of those should be more than plenty for two 7950's.
Just depends on how much money you want to spend.

the modular vairants are nice, easier to manage cables in the case

you dont need corsair, also look for antec, seasonic, silverstone and xfx, but those may cost more

I wouldn't recommend Seasonic or XFX at all. Corsair PSUs are very nice. The most important thing to look for in a power supply is the amperage of the 12V rails. Some people believe one rail is better than multiple rails but that isn't really true.

seasonic and xfx are some of the best rated power supplies available
if you go by the 12v rating on teh psu you will probably end up with smoething like this
diablotek 1050 failure psu (failed at 500w)

the best thing to look for is active pfc (no 110/220v switch)
and 80+ rating (gold/silver/bronze prefered)

I bought CORSAIR HX SERİSİ 80PLUS GOLD 850W and 2nd XFX HD 7950 Core Edition from their online shop. I will post information about both of these when I get my PSU and GPU. (a week or 2 weeks later)
