Far Cry 3 Graphical Glitches - Broken Geometry, Textures, etc. - HELP
Hello, community, your assistance with the following issue experienced during Far Cry 3 would be greately appreciated.

I am encountering some bizarre, wildly inconsistent graphical issues during my experience with Far Cry 3 on my rig (560ti, i5 2400k, 8gb RAM) that can best be described as the geometry "breaking" and "showing through," often accompanied by a sort of black "glow." Please closely review the below screen shots to see what I am describing:

As you can see on the side of the car, the geometry triangulates (for lack of a better word) and is off set by this sort of black "glow." Also, as you can see, the surrounding textures are completely uninfluenced.

This effect is often found on many random objects/character models, yet the surrounding textures seem just fine... It's the most bizarre thing I have encountered in a while.

I have fooled around with EVERY setting imaginable, including switching to Direct X 9, turning off SSAO, messing with quality settings, etc.; even on "low" quality, the bug I describe persists.

Overall, this isn't exactly a game-breaking bug, but it does reduce the level of immersion that I experience as the player.

I do not believe this is a hardware issue as EVERY other gaming application that I run works just fine.

Is anybody else experiencing this issue? If so, have you found a fix?

Or, can anybody inform me what may be going on here?

Thank you as always for your help.

Did Nvidia release a driver update recently? If so you may want to roll back your drivers to the previous version. If not you could always try reinstalling the drivers anyway just to be sure.

From what i've seen, as the guy above said, updating your drivers will fix about 95% of the FC3 Issues.

I ran into problem with Far Cry 3 the other day. I picked a plant and then my graphics went all nuts. I never have problems with anything else otherwise. I'm runing a GTX 680 with the latest beta drivers. There may be an issue with the latest patches & video drivers. May be worth rolling back one video driver release if you are running the beta.

♥♥♥♥♥♥ console port engine. Even when you get it running smooth it feels broken.

Far Cry 2 engine performs better.

Thank you for your replies, folks; I rolled back my drivers a ways, all the way back to 310.70 - issue still persists.

Any other ideas?

I am still having this issue as well, and it persists, the game is months past launch and NVIDIA has rolled out their drivers since, but it happens to me every time without fail, can't play more than an hour it seems.

MOBO:ASUS P8Z68-LE
CPU: Intel i5 2500k
RAM: Kingston 16GB HyperX Red
GPU: EVGA GTX 660 Ti 2GB SC

And it's uninstalled. I found a gamerprofile.xml fix on the ubi website and it fixed the issue for about two hours, but once I quit and started the program again, the issues continued, I'm ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ done with this crap. I bought this game for 60 bucks and have less than five hours in game because Ubisoft programmed this like ♥♥♥♥.
