DDR3 memory speed (overclock fail)
My system:

I5 3470 @ 3.20 GHz CPU
Kingston HyperX Beast 16 GB RAM Memory Kit (2x 8 GB) DDR3 2133 MHz CL11
Asus P8H61-MX R2. Motherboard.

I can only get this memory to run at 1600 MHz. I have tried all diffrent timeings but the system just reboots to the message Overclock Failed press F1 to enter setup.

Any ideas?

Because it's dirtcheap motherboard that is never meant for overclocking just like your locked core CPU.
Run it at 1600 Mhz. All you can get.

Yeah, good point _I_, most of Beast kits are 1.65V. Intel PC needs 1.5V RAM and even then anything higher then 1600 Mhz CL9 would be waste with your motherboard and CPU.

what ram kit?
what voltage?
how many dimms?

ivy 1155 cpus can run 2 dimms at 1.55+v, but it will cook the imc on the cpu and they will not be able to run 4 dimms afterwards

if the kit s 2133 cl11 1.65v, the max at 1.5v would be around 1600 cl9 or so
