How to benchmark used card?
Got a used card from EBAY, it seems to be in great condition, but i want to check if it's "fully functional." What's the best way to check if it's "operating within normal parameters?"
I ahve GPU-Z, CPU-Z, HWiNFO64, and 3Dmark, but what am i supposed to check for? 3Dmark says my score is "good/great" in most tests, but does that really mean anything?

compare to other cards and their scores

some softwares already does that for you

First off, did you do the LOOK UP in GPU-Z to see if the GPU is actually legit or not?

Your scores might be in the top tier for that GPU if your CPU is lacking but it should at least be close to many other publicly released GPU scores if you have a decent enough CPU.

I'd also load up MSI Afterburner and MSI Kombuster

But yes the latest versions of 3DMark and Unigine Superposition are great to use for GPU testing.

yes it's "legit", but what i want to know is if it has any defects from use, but idk how to test for that beyond 3D mark's tests, which seem to imply it's in great condition... however it may be bottlenecked by my ryzen 7 2700 CPU (very old now)
Which GPU is it?
You can use MSI Kombuster, it has an option to run various 3D Loop Test w/ Artifact Detection

an RX 6800 XT (Asus TUF edition). never heard of kombuster before
It's like Furmark and EVGA OC Scanner all in one; and better.
Why have people not head of it, but they've heard of MSI Afterburner.
amd make sure all of its outputs work

iv seen one with only a bad dvi port due to lightning damage
else the card work 100% perfectly
I'd just do that with ANY GPU regardless; yes make sure all of the HDMI & DP ports all working properly.
Check to make sure all display ports work. Then just run Furmark 2. Compare to the average. Will also see if the card was re-pasted poorly, or has poor factory paste and pads.
Poor Paste or Pads is just going to most likely result in higher max temps; shouldn't generally effect your benchmark scores unless the GPU is throttling.
