SAD FACE during boot momentarily and tempermental ? win 11 pro.. help?
So i gave my bro a PC A320m motherboard with a ryzen 5800x rtx 2080ti 32gb ram win11 pro BIOs is latest..the graphics drivers up-to-date, the a320 chipset drivers up-to-date. i even ran drivers from the motherboard website.

The OS is running on a WD black gen4x4 nvme but goes max gen3 speeds.

Sometimes it works with games but sometimes getting sad face i do not know why?

coz ive tried :

System restore

SFC - everthing fine

dism / scan
dism /restorehealth - no missing files?

we also tried a win 11 re-install but it was someone ancient usbs key ( maybe it was a corupt win11)

updated the software avg and ccleaner.

cleared storage sense

disk clean

ran diskcheck

result found nothing?

Anyway can sad face be caused by a hardware issues such as faulty ssd ? maybe the ssd was corrupted ? but i ran disk check ? the ssd even has games fully installed ? maybe cpu has bent pins ? but how does games sometimes work, its tempermental , if no sad face , it plays games fine?! is windows 11 100% i wonder ?

"sad face" as a name for a blue screen of death is crazy

BSODs usually give an error code which tells you what went wrong

by default windows flashes the bsod for 1/4 sec then forces a reboot

if it will not boot ot windows, so you can disable that 'feature' its hard to get the code or see what the error was

but if it can get to windows, you might be able to see the error lgos

it may be an unstable oc
boot to bios, and use the option to reset it to defaults
if that works, then go to the mobo site and get the correct drivers
chipset, audio, lan etc..

odds are the board is throttling the cpu and windows had no clue how its doing it causing the crash

I have seen the BSoD for redundant things, including a keyboard simply being plugged in.:badluck:

Start run eventvwr and look boot record and error logs. It will show you what error ocurred.
I see no sharing of what all event viewer logs are saying; that's the only place to look; everything else is blind guessing. As it could be as simple as unstable CPU/RAM settings in the BIOS.

What are reasons you still using AVG and CCleaner? Licensed Windows 11 or Windows 10 was some what so ever good stuffs at least for a while.
Re-installed Windows 11 why would you do this? While you mentioned Windows ISO could be corrupted, you may used Reset this PC better choice I suppose? And of course backup your important or precious stuffs then doing this.

Oh it maybe used parts come to an end of it's last breath.
I used H81M-D or H81M-A Asus once, it lasted more than a year then it had to say goodbye. Some USBs or flashdrives could be wrong in name brand, it could deliver slow speed also it was easy to be broken or caused issues or more troubles than I thought.
