Modding your games makes it impossible to really troubleshoot anything though because any issues could easily just be from a mod mucking things up.
Yes concerning mods, that's true.
It could be anything and troubleshooting through 900 mod files is something. I might find the culprit if I am lucky.
All right I'll test the new Nvidia driver again with the tweaked options you suggested. See if I get at least stable 50 fps....at least !
If not then doing a clean install of 566.16 driver should be fine.
However for DLSS 4.x and to get the most out of the latest NVIDIA app, you want a clean install of the latest driver, 572.42
Which ever NVIDIA Driver you install, if you use the GFE or NVIDIA APP make sure to change its options to "check for updates only" so it doesn't auto push the latest driver down your throat
Going from 566 to 572 or vice versa, use DDU app to wipe everything via safe mode so they can be clean installed. Do not update from 566 or older to 572
I have a 3080 10 GB and DLSS4 performance is actually worse than DLSS3.
Most of the benchmarks show quite the fps losses on raster or ray tracing with DLSS4. and of course, I am confronted to the same problem.
I installed three different drivers ( 566.14, 566.36 and the last one 572.16) and the results are the same. I prefer installing drivers alone and never using the Nvidia App.
You never know with telemetry and other things going on with an app you don't control what it does to your pc registry and how much ressources it pumps from your system.
I heard several people telling me it's better to update drivers only without using the Nvidia App.
I think something might be bond ot the last game update.
So I guess that waiting for another freaking update (praying it will not make things even worse than they are since a few years) might be the only option or even solution.
The game also react weird (same FPS count with medium or high shadows and/ medium /ultra RTX lightning).... I just don't understand how the FPS wouldn't change :s
Anyway...
after that make sure RESIZABLE bar is on in bios.....disable HDMI audio in device manager if not in use and do the GPU tweak list of things like turning on max performance in power settings.....
