Use an air purifier in your PC room!
An air purifier is an excellent way to help clean the air of the room in which your valuable electronics, such as a PC, are located in. Dusty components? Dusty electronics? Dusty PC? Dusty console? Use an air purifier, and vacuum regularly!

Do you use an air purifier? Have you used an air purifier?

Quite the noticeable difference before and after!:steamhappy:

Bro, are you telling me that I type like AI?

Because, if that is the case, I guess thank you?

Proper, professional typing can be monetized...

It's because your original post reads like a corny informercial trying to sell us on air purifiers, has nothing to do with "professional writing".

Also, while i agree that you can get air purifiers quite cheap it's the FILTERS that will eat up your budget, especially the fancy HEPA ones. Air purifier manufacturers are intentionally designing their filters with unique specifications and dimensions , making it difficult for consumers to replace them with more affordable third-party alternatives.

For most people, they are neither necessary nor worth the investment. I do recall a buddy of mine who had 3 air purifiers in his apartment so he could smoke we*d without getting complaints lmao.

Bro, you really don't need to change the filter that often. And they only cost like 30 bucks for two! I've had my air purifier for going on 3 years now, and have only bought a new filter once! Once, I say! ONCE!

Simply vacuum the filter often. Once every two weeks, one per month-it all depends on how bad the air is being abused.

Bro vacuuming your filters is only worthwhile for the most absolute cheapest and garbage pre-filters that are usually washable aswell.

Vacuuming HEPA/ activated carbon/.. filters (the actual decent ones) does NOTHING for filter longevity and you can actually damage the fibers by doing so, reducing their effectiveness.

Now i know why your air purfier and filters are so cheap, you're are using a cheapo model with pre filters that is mostly placebo.

HEPA/carbon filters need to be swapped at least every 6 months, and for max effectiveness every 3 months, hence the massive price difference compared to a simple prefilter model.

You're funny bro, i bet you bought one of those "portable airco's" on facebook aswell and think it's effective .

It's pointless unless you have pets. I regularly clean my place whenever I'm home and dust my PC - which roughly takes me 5 minutes - so there is no need for an ap. I also don't have pets. No time for that and the hassle of finding a pet sitter whenever I'm out of town.
How about a mini air purifier inside the PC case.

If only there existed such a magical invention to filter out the dust and place it before another magical rotation device that moves air from one area to another.

Exactly, a mere $30 every few months is not expensive.

I'm not even on facebook. No idea what a "portable airco's" is.

Thank you. :steamthumbsup::steamhappy:

HEPA/carbon filters can easily cost 80-90$ or higher, you know the kind that actually cleans air from allergents and ciggerate smoke.

What you have is a prefilter, it's basically a washable mesh that you find in stuff like water pumps aswell to block surface level pollutants and traps pethair at best.

But hey, if the placebo effect is working for you, all the better, just don't try to bait people into garbage entree level "air purifiers" with pre-filters as the real deal.

The "portable facebook airco's" refer to resellers dropshipping cheap chinese water cooled fans marketed as actual airco units.

You're getting ripped off, sir.

H13 True HEPA filters cost a lot less than that, and can be had for $20!:steamhappy:

You're confusing those small, sheet-of-paper style "filters"' with conventional filter unit blocks mostly used in DIY solutions.

The cheapest off brand ones are around 40$, the genuine are at least twice as high.

Also if you do have a HEPA filter you are actively destroying the fibers inside damaging it's performance by vacuuming it every couple weeks like you said earlier.

Hope that clarifies why you are still wrong!

Wrong about what exactly?

I think that you are confused about what is going on here.

It's easy

Either you have a basic prefilter "air purifier" setup that doesn't block pollutants and at most stops pethair and the like.

> you don't know what you're talking about

Or you do have a HEPA filter and for some reason you decided that it was a good idea to vacuum it every 2 weeks to save on filter replacement, which actively harms the fibers inside the filter

> you don't know what you're talking about

You're making this more difficult that it needs to be.

Early on in this thread, I stated the exact air purifier that I have, and will purchasing another one of the same. It comes with a HEPA filter that is easily replaced. I have vacuumed it multiple times over the few years that I have used it. It helps prolong its use. And yes, I have replaced the HEPA filter once. Only once. Remember once?

Now, why are you bringing up other types of filter when I obviously stated it early on?

You're confusing yourself.

Got it so the second scenario it is.

You're vacuuming HEPA filters in the belief it prolongs their usage. Vacuumed it for YEARS? Without replacing?

AHAHAHA

Bro, go home, you're only embarrassing yourself even more.
