Just bought a RTX 4080 Noctua Edtion for really cheap, and I need help!
For Ark: Survival Ascended and Cyberpunk I am to get a good combination of smoothness and FPS (no stutter).

How much ram will I need to achieve this?

By the way I don't want to overclock because I found out that it can reduce the life span of how long your PC will be good.

Any other tips to improve?

Are you sure you don't want to refund the GPU and buy a PS5 or something?
You need a lesson in how computers work and I'm not sure if we can do that right here.......

The Asus Noctua 4080 OC comes already overlocked so that boat has sailed.

Your CPU will probably affect your FPS in both ARK and Cyberpunk more than your RAM.

You need 32GB of 6000MHz CL30 ram.

ram makes little difference, unless its really slow or high timings
or you dont have enough for everything running at the time

what cpu? mobo?
and display res/refresh

if you enable vsync/gsync/freesync, those should be the limit at 1080p60 before any half decent cpu

budget/currency/location?
any other parts you need or want to use?
mobo/drives/case/psu etc..

p60 = 60hz, when using vsync it limits fps to 60

By the way would you know if this is the best one for the Noctua version of the 4080?
Just make sure you get a Noctua NH-D15S for better compatibility.

My currency is NZD.

I live in New Zealand.

I don't have a budget for my other parts because I saved so much money buying the GPU on sale.

The other parts you wrote are the parts I'm currently learning about so I can pick the right one for my PC.

I wouldn't tell the price because no one would believe me.

modify the filters if you need anything
_I_ Jan 12, 2024 @ 4:38pm
filters picked most, many parts dont change performance by much

mobo, needs a good vrm config, more than strong enough to power the cpu
ram, fast with low timings, 10ns or lower
reliable psu with more than enough wattage
case to fit all components

ndz is near double usd for tech stuffs

enable gsync/freesync so ti will lower the displays refresh to match its fps output, and it ill be fine

No

If I need to change all my PC parts like my CPU and PSU, please tell.

No budget

If you want you can look into water cooling the entire system with a custom loop from EK;
this will allow you to achieve lower temps and Overclock the system to gain 5-10% more performance.

Thank you, but also no thank you. I don't want to do overclocking anymore because I've found out that overclocking can reduce the life span of your PC and I'm not willing to make the risk because I bought this card for a really good price.

But if I add water cooling will it give any performance increase without overclocking?

All good

Note: Overclocking only shortens the lifespan of your hardware if you push too much voltage. If you want, you can use the default voltage and increase the frequency of the CPU and GPU,. This will not shorten the lifespan.

To answer your question. Yes, it should, as it will allow your components to run cooler and, in turn, allow them to turbo clock high, which will increase the performance. You should notice the performance increase a lot, especially if the components tend to overheat or hit their thermal threshold, which most competent do when under load from a game.

I've seen some videos right now, and I've seen that water cooling could be risky. Instead of water cooling I found a video that shows a CPU cooler that's said in the video to be way better than a water cooler. If you have the time, please watch this video called "Never liquid cool again" it's by UFD Tech.

Please tell me if it's better to do this or not and why.

Your GPU literally has 2 120mm noctua case fans strapped to it. I haven't seen my Noctua 4080 hit 70c after hours of AAA gaming and mine is heavily overclocked.
