If you mean not stylized with chaperone, you can already do this.
You have to enable camera passthrough in the SteamVR settings, then double press the action button along the bottom edge of the Index HMD to turn on passthrough camera.
Overall I don't see how it's possible unless there is a way to toggle VR screen vs open lense otherwise if you always have semi open lense the immersion is not good not to mention the low light levels you would experience
