No idea gamers nexus quoted it with wendel that some admins might have to undo some bans. Idk what game.
It seems we people are stuck comparing the stupid 13900K and 14900K with a X3D CPUs which start from $350 and mentioning because just they exist Intel must be in the trash bin as an option. Nope.
This is the problem.
If we look at the 1% lows, we can see there aren't huge differences so at this point there is no sense to get something anything higher than an i5 for gaming. i5 12600KF in Newegg costs $130. So for ≈5-10% less FPS (if we convert it to real numbers, for me becomes laughable), does it worth paying more for a CPU, or am I better off spending on something else for a PC?
12th and 13th/14th gen basically use the same core architectures and the only real difference can be found in the memory controller. Nothing else. I don't feel bad for Intel for not stopping self-sabotage and why the high end doesn't look like anything brilliant and right now some pieces of silicon may soon be in the trash can.
If the Intel problem is caused by single core boost clock then other CPUs may potentially be also affected but the degradation can take longer. ASUS showed us how quickly they can kill AMD cpus by rising SoC voltage. I will wait for more info and more clear conclusions.
It's also interesting how CPUs were causing GPU drivers crashes.
It will be interesting to hear if this problem also occurs on the Xeon E 2488 and 2486 because they have almost the same specs as the i7 14700K.

Think about how if you have a memory error, a program or driver might crash. They did so not necessarily because they are the cause, but perhaps because they became unstable because the system was unstable (bad hardware, or other software issue).
Troubleshooting can get complicated for this reason.
It seems Alderon Games is straight up making a statement/accusation that Intel is "selling defective 13th and 14th generation CPUs" and that they "hope they recall these CPUs and refund consumers". That's a pretty bold claim, but... are they wrong to make it? Time will tell.
