Anytime you have 4 slots the requirements go up, motherboards get pickier about working when you fill up all the slots that way, its in those cases where matched ram is most important, not to say it never works, but when it doesn't, that's the answer. I'm sure all the sticks will work on their own, but when all slots filled, fudge factor goes down I guess, and so you probably will need matched ram to work if you are unlucky.. its why motherboards have certified "working" lists of ram, they only guarantee it working with what they've tested, nothing more, anything else is luck.
rev c3 cpus have a better imc
c2 can run 4 dimms at a max of 1333
c3 can run 4 dimms at any speed
Faulty batteries can produce irregular charge which can garble the settings. And casue timing issues with RAM and other parts
I just cleared my CMOS, still nothing. I checked my mobos manual the same A-DATA memory is on the supported vendor list. Even the same model. The timings are the same, frequencies, all of them are CL9, DDR3, 1333mhz, 1.5V. Cleared CMOS. I'm just so freaking confused.
I guess the only option I have left is flashing my BIOS?
Also, if it boots with the new RAM, BIOS reports that "overclocking failed" which is kinda weird since I haven't overclocked anything on my PC except my GPU which I restored to factory clocks. Nor I have changed any voltages.

"Well friends this problem really got into my nerves while I was still new to it and it required me to press the power button more than once before system actually boots up..After much despair and disappointment, what worked for me to get rid of this problem is what I am gonna post here..And its fairly simple,I swapped RAM..I have an MSI G41-P26 mainboard with the base of all x64 Intel CPUs, the humble old guy' pentium 4 ,3.00 GHz ,Cedar Mill V with 1 core and 2 logical processors. The CPU FSB is 200 MhZ and 2 x 2 GB Dynet DDR3 800 MHz Memory modules....The problem 'not booting at once'crept up in the machine with occasional annoying messages of 'overclocking failed' without doing so...The problem worsened still when amid such message, smell of something burning leaked out of the mainboard with system not responding at all from that point..,it would power on, fans would spin ,no beeps, no display.. So i one by one tested my memory modules and found that the problem rested on overclocked RAM modules, as they were in dual channel, and collectively clocking more than the prescribed DIMM frequency the Mainboard supplies with.So two things could be done, either underclock the RAM modules in BIOS by adjusting the Fsb DIMM ratio or pull out one of the RAM modules..so i am using only one of my 2 x2 GB memory modules rigorously checked for any faults.Bear in mind that one of your RAM modules might also be faulty...creating the problem..so overclocking means RAM issue usually. After I yanked out one of my RAMs, my system has been working fine..Hope you find 'what worked for me' useful!"
Hey. Sorry I'm a little late but here's the link.

That last topic was really confusing to read. So basically, I should just get a set of 2x 4GB same vendor or more of the Team-Elite RAM? The prices of the Team-Elite in one of the Finnish shops is insane. 110€

This suggests it could be your motherboard.
It's possible one of the unused memory slots got dusty over time & now doesn't work right or one of the ADATA sticks is bad. You could try booting each stick alone to see if a certain one causes the problem. Getting a memory kit to achieve the amount you want ensures compatibility with each dimm. I'm out of ideas. I've been racking my brain on this subject for the past few hours. lol :D
Your ram should be all matched or on the certified as working list for the motherboard
I just went to sleep because I got tired of the situation, lol. I haven't tried replacing my battery. I cleared my CMOS through the jumper two times.
Basically step by step what I did yesterday.
Turned off my PC
Put all the sticks in
Cleared CMOS with the jumper
Turned my PC back on
Loads the BIOS screen
Entered setup to load default values & set time and date
Exit & save changes
PC boots again
No bleep, won't load BIOS
I'm seriously considering now just to buy 2x 4GB Team-Elite ones. DDR3 1333mhz, I found some store with a decent price but I hate to say that if those two don't work either I'm seriously flipping my balls here.
Also, I contacted ASUS yesterday about this and all they said was:
"please adjust the ram speeds manually to the correct ones in the bios
Please feel free to reply in either English, Finnish or Swedish."
in bios auto detect should have already set the ram timings based on what the ram stick tells it.
you can double check vs the timings on the label, but its unlikely to be the problem unless your sticks have different timing speeds and or you changed them manually
Would ordering the Team-Elite 2x 4GB DDR3 1333mhz kit fix my issue?
And still not tried replacing your battery?
RAM needs a mobo presenting accurate timings... IF your battery is not giving consistant voltages [as sometimes happens] then it can disrurb those timings nad cause RAM rrors amongst others.
At least try it. It's easier than changing settings!
