Touch Screen Not Working For Some Games On Steam Deck
So I have no clue why this is happening now, but now some games that are like point and click titles, I can’t use the touch screen at all for any of em and I have no idea how to activate it for some of the games. I have no idea if it was like an update or something but I can’t get it to work again. Any advice on what to do?

I had the touch screen abruptly stop working once.

For some bizarre reason, the fix is to go in the bios and trigger battery storage mode.

I’ve tried that method but it didn’t really work, like I can use the touch screen normally going through menus on the Steam Deck and the sort and play the few Steam games that are made so you can use the touch screen but other than that, other titles I can’t really use.

Why the hell would it even have that feature? Makes no sense to me to have a touch screen when you have a full blown Controller right there.

Sometimes the touch screen is convenient for certain games, like hidden object games and idle clickers. It’s a bit easier to just use your finger and touch what you’re trying to get.

Ok yea that makes sense.

However if the game when you start it up starts with a window asking to set the controls or display I can’t do anything for whatever reason. The simple act of just pressing the accept button on the touch screen I can’t do unless I switch around the control schemes. That’s what happened with one game I got.

I sold mine. Got tired of Valve's BS and all the problems, especially after updates; if it would even do them properly.

To me it's nothing more then kids console junk.

I'll wait for Steam Deck 2.
