Best zen 3 CPU for RX 7800 XT?

I have a R7 5800X, which bottlenecks the GPU, but I'm happy with the performance and I'll hardly upgrade, but I'd like to know your opinion.

I agree with this, and I have a 5800X3D with a 7800 XT myself.

I'd recommend a X3D any day of the week, but you're simply looking at too small of a difference for the cost with the 5800X being your starting point.

Maybe if all the other stars aligned, such as you had invested into a very good AM4 motherboard, and invested in a lot of DDR4 RAM, and were planning to stick with AM4 for the foreseeable future anyway so you wanted to get the best CPU to prolong it even more, and played a lot of CPU heavy games... maybe. But even in the best case scenario where all of those things are true, it's a maybe at best. If not all of those things are true, I'd just wait for a bigger uplift.

Unless you switch to AM5 and DDR5 then the only good option is 5700X3D.

Possibly but it'd be too low end to really make a difference so it's not likely to happen unless AMD gets a huge surplus of bad bins, but the 5600X3D was just a short run that was exclusive to Microcenter.
