Playstation VR2 PC Adapter - No Display Port on my Laptop
Hi folks,
Would like to buy the new PC adapter for my VR2 but unfortunately, my laptop doesn't have the necessary Display Adapter port.
Is there a working solution for this yet as it seems to be a common problem?
Thank you

Then most likely your Laptop is not good enough anyways, or it would offer a USB 3.x/4.x Type-C Port that is capable of doing DisplayPort from the GPU.

Or buy VR such as Quest 2 or 3

Valve Index and PS VR2 requires DP; and you can NOT use a DP to HDMI adapter in the mix.

There is no problem. Your computer simply does not have a DisplayPort port.

Again most Laptops don't have a physical DP on them. They do DP via USB/Thunderbolt port if the Laptop has a supported Type-C port that can output DP from the GPU.

HDMI on many Laptops often wouldn't work with HDMI based VR sometimes because the HDMI on many of them does not connect to the dedicated GPU at all. The USB Type-C with DP output support is from the dedicated GPU.

Laptops are rarely strong enough anyways since you need at least a 10th gen i7 + RTX 2080 or newer to really do that well enough.
does it have a vga port? if it does, then you can like use a vga to dvi to displayport convertion. i have not tried it however so, i can not tell you if you will lose performance.

vga is analog
it take an entire frame of info to convert it to digital, so that will add a delay
which will make vr nausiating

You might be able to use the Type-C to DP adapter, IF the Laptop has a DP output capable Type-C port, other then that, no you can't use adapters from VGA, DVI or HDMI for VR
