System wont use more than 50% Ram
Hi, so when I play a game and use more than 50% of my Ram (including other programms) my games crash. I've tried a lot of things including clearing standby list per Rammap.exe, MemTest64, etc. and they didn't Work. This is happening since I once reset my Pc.

Happening with Cyberpunk 2077, The First Descendant, Minecraft (ATM9), so every game that uses a lot of Ram.

Thank you Everybody.

Update 1:
Setting the Priority of the Game to High in the Task Manager (--> Details --> Right Click Game --> set Priority --> High) allows my Games to go over 50% Ram usage does anybody know why this could be happening?

PC Specs:

Windows 11

MB: ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-H GAMING WIFI
CPU: Intel Core i9-13900K
GPU: Nvidia Geforce RTX 4090
RAM: Kingston Fury Beast RGB 4000mhz(according to MemTest64), (4x) 8GB
SSD: Samsung SSD 870 QVO 2TB, (2x) Samsung SSD 980 PRO 2TB
PSU: ASUS ROG Thor 1200W

First thing id try is clearing the pagefile, this can be done by disabling it then rebooting then enabling it again, depending on what you mean by "reset your pc".

Second, with everything closed how much free RAM do you have available?

Im sorry, where do i find this pagefile and what do you mean by disabling and rebooting?

With reset my pc i mean resetting my pc per Windows with the Reset this PC under Windows Settings --> System --> Recovery (Translation might be off because my default windows language is not English)

I have 26.925 GB of unused Ram (Everything closed except RAMmap + Empty Standby- and Priority 0 list).

winkey + r -> SystemPropertiesadvanced -> performance [settings] -> advanced tab -> [change]
untick auto, select each drive, change to none -> [set]
ok, ok, ok, reboot
repeat and change primary drive to 50% of system ram and reboot again

I did this then i've tried starting Cyberpunk 2077 again issue with Ram still persists RAM goes to 52% then crashes.

I had to define a min and max mb amount for the 50% so i defined 1000mb and 1000000mb (Drive has 2tb)

you could try to use task manager to tell the game to only run on your P cores. though that would involve doing it every time. i have heard that games is not fully compatible with E cores. go to details in task manager and right click on the game and select affinity. there you can tell the game what cores to use.

Then do this for testing purposes.

Physically swap the RAM around.

Or run a full memory test with at least 3 passes set to Extended Mode.

That can never work like that. If E-Cores really is an issue, you have to disable the E-Cores Scheduler in your BIOS or use an app such as CoreDirector which will easily allow you to add apps or games so only those in the list will have E-Cores disabled whenever ran.

Already did both also didnt work, I did the Memory test with 10 loops and maximum ram.

The CPU isnt the issue, it can go to 100% without the game crashing.

Okay, so tried setting the Priority of the Game to Highest and now it works somehow. I need to do further testing to say if that fixes my issue.

I recently watched a linus tt video and when he removed his second kit of 32gb ram(of total 64gb) his mhz went straight up to factory settings , I missunderstood this to mean the power supply was improperly configged but he did not resolve this in the video

First things first, with a Raptor Lake CPU, I'd be calling that into question with any stability issues. You can probably try and rule this out by setting the RAM to JEDEC speeds (no XMP) and limiting the p-core ratio to 52 and seeing if it helps. One of the many issues these CPUs had was I/O issues so you can't rule the CPU out unless you can try with another (preferably non-Raptor Lake CPU).

Minecraft is very CPU heavy. It's also, interestingly, one of the things in the server landscape that was degrading those CPUs the quickest.

If we ignore the CPU for a moment, my mind was considering that you disabled (or severely restricted) the page file and was hitting "that" issue, but since you expressed a question when someone asked you to reset it, I'm going to presume you didn't change it from the default, so that's probably not the case.

You need to set your system to stock (CPU and RAM) and start running RAM (and maybe CPU) tests. MemTest86 for the RAM, OCCT and Priume95 for the CPU and RAM. You can use others, but any/all of these start throwing errors, then you have an unstable system.

You're running four DIMMs but given the speed and capacity, I'm going to presume this is DDR4 and not DDR5? Four DIMMs on DDR5 is ambitious (although should work at a slow-for-DDR5 speed of 4,000 MHz). It might be ambitious for DDR4 too though. If it's stable at stock/unstable with XMP, you found the issue. You may need to walk the speed back to 3,600 MHz or 3,200 MHz. I think above one of those points is when Alder/Raptor Lake switch from 1:1 to 2:1 (they call them gears on Intel's side) so you won't lose as much as it sounds like since you'll gain 1:1/Gear 1.

i searched for those ram sticks and you are correct that they are DDR 4. i tried to help but was ignored.

Using e cores should not cause instability other than lower FPS.
