for most you can get a led backlight conversion kit, and add a knob to the back for backlight brightness
or just replace it
you can easily find a 24+in 1080p 144-165hz display for around $100usd
if things look huge, in windows set display scaling to 100%
However advanced setting for this category can allow to tweak any determined number but it warns apps, and texts may be hard to read. Should I test?
It would be better if you actually had a good monitor and not some Chinese no-name junk.
24in 1920x1080 is about 92ppi
images should look smaller on the lcd display if windows display scaling is 100%
be sure the res is set to native in gpu control panel
And by the way I'm used and comfortable with 75hz but UHD resolutions can't run at those frequencies ( not on this screen ).
24 and 27 inch w/ 1080p/144Hz are like $80-100 now.
32 inch w/ 1440p/165Hz are under $200 now.
Also you may want to stop referring to 1080p as UHD. UHD is 4K, not 1080p. 1080p is just HD or High Definition. Well referring to computer monitors and HDTV's UHD is 4K. UHD means something different in the world of Digital Cinema.
27 or higher then you really want to look at 1440p
At least to a certain point before maybe the aim should be 2160p
For example: I couldn't use 1440p @ 27" myself. Everything would be too small. I'm getting older (almost 50), my vision isn't as good as it used to be. I need 1080p @ 27" or more (I had a 1080p 32" screen years ago and loved it) to see games and text correctly. And no windows scaling isn't perfect. A lot of apps and games do not scale up with windows scaling enabled.
that may limit the refresh rate
dl-dvi-d or dp can do 1080p165+hz or 4k60-120
crt doesnt have 'pixels' as much as comb filter, beam hits parts to light up the that colored spot
lcd has individual sub pixels, each can be controlled
non native or unevenly scaled image on lcd will look blurry
if its a 1080p (1920x1080) display, then half that (960x540) would look good, but 720p on 1080p panel will not scale evenly
Is not LCD. Is a LED monitor now.
