than your options are lesss....
the best pick is :
Samsung Odyssey G52A 32" (AG520PP)
which at 400 euro still is ok priced.
(it has the best ergonomics of all the 1440p 32 inch screens that have all the other bells and whisles you want)
Are samsung really good??? What are the top brands that pc gamers go for?
some people hate on samsung.. I personally not share their experience,
samsungs rma service has the worst name but it depends on consumer laws in your nation (in my nation consumers return products to the store they bought the product from.. upto a lawfull term of 5 years.. and thus any factory warranty is not my problem as a consumer..)
**most hear complain is they die a little faster than other brands.. but I also have had samsung montors that worked fiine for 10 years and going.
the best liked brands are alienware and eizo (but they are very very expensive and currently have no monitor that has the specs you want)
Philips is a wildcard now.. as philips makes no consumer electronics anymore.. instead it sells licences to tag its brand on stuff others make..
ilyama used to be king in the crt days.. but has just lagged behind today.
LG has after them generally a good name.. and I have a monitor of this brand myself..
(but in my personal experience.. does have more dead pixels out of the box.. usually JUST below their tolerance levels.. meaning you most likely start with 10-11 dead pixels right away as you get it new.
asus used to be quality.. but recently their quality control is not all it used to be...leading to a higher % of doa's and rma's.. which despite their rma procedure being ok.. is not what you want.. which is why more people avoid the brand now..
=========================================================
this one screen is the only that has all the things you want.. if you want other brand options...
what do you want to give up?
ergonomics :
A 90 degrees horizontal pivot (put into portrait mode)
B vertical pivot (angle backwards and forwards)
C rotating on feet (allow you to rotate the monitor to face another direction without having to pick it up)
D height adjusting (move screen up and down)
which of these 4 you want to give up on?
3 more options come available.
1 is another samsung.. so lets skip that.
the other two are
ASUS ROG Swift PG329Q
-I'm not sure I call asus a better brand than samsung.. asus is more likely to give you an RMA/DOA.. but has better ability to handle one.
and if you get a correct variant. likely lasts longer (more durable made)
this screen has 450cd (much higher brightness) vs the samsungs 350cd
and a peak brightness of 600cd vs the samsungs 400cd
but it also has a hefty pricetag : a whopping 1050 euro!! you can buy nearly 3 of the samsung screens from that amount!
another alternative is the
MSI MAG321QR-QD
it is comparable to the samsung screen in stats... exept the lacking pivot.
-I would consider msi a more reliable brand than samsung in building quality though availability and support may not be everywhere in the world the same (msi has a stronger presence in europe)
at 650 euro.. you are paying 60% more than for the samung screen.. while still giving up pivot ability.
but it seems a more sensible alternative than the asus in price for a bit more peace of mind.
if you want LG as a brand you will have to give up another ergonomic feature : rotate on feet. (meaning to have the screen face another direction you will have to move its base/pick it up)
LG UltraGear 32GP850-B
it does have pivot.. so you still only loose out on 1 ergonomic feature.
at about 350 euro.. it is also friendlier priced than the other alternatives.
I would go for 4k 144hz, but it is so expensive.
I think i might get this one

Dell is very good.
looked at it..
the stats of that screen are fine.
it does have no pivot.. (so no portrait mode)
if this is a brand you are ok with and can live without portrait mode.. go for it.
and it is a little smaller than 32 inch (it's only 31.5 inch) -> which likely is why it did not show to me in my screen comparising.. when I manually looked for the model I found it.
I personally don't like dell.. (mostly due their premade computers being terrible) but they montitors have a good reliability reputation.
seems like a good match for your demands.
Are you serious???
Hmm; let me think...
Alienware, ASUS, MSI, LG, Ssamsung... WTF else is there? Not much else is actually all that good.
If we stick just to the larger brands?
Dell, Ilyama, Philips, Acer, AOC, EIZO, BenQ, AG, HP, Lenovo, Vieuwsonic, ELO
******
not all of these brands have monitors of "gaming" quality though.. and not all have the same reputation in building quality.
**some brands like ASUS have the reputation for bad quality control, so despite their products being well designed, with long lifespands and low amounts of dead pixels, their DOA and RMA percentage is rather high.. with asus it basicly is hit or miss.
**some brands like SAMSUNG, have the reputation of being less durable.. so while a samsung monitor generally will have low amounts of dead pixels AND low RMA percentage.. most willl die just after the 2 or 3 year warranty period ends.
-> which sucks as many other brands monitors easely last a decade.
than there are brands that have the reputation of having terrible warranty/rma basicly if it breaks your screwed.. as your warranty is like 6 months at best (very short).. and after that you will have to pay for shipment to their ONE rma center in the world (paying hundreds in shipment) and when your screen gets damaged in shipment (and it always will) they deny your rma and claim you caused that damage and thats why it not works.
than there are brands that just have more dead pixels, like LG.. good quality screens, last long, low rma %.. but their tolerance for dead pixels is rather large.. meaning the chance you buy a brand new screen with 10 dead pixels is pretty much a certainly.. on the upsite their screens last decades and are durable.. so past those iniatial 10 dead pixels rarely more dead pixels or issues will ever apear.
and than there are the brands that have it all :
brands like dell, eizo and alienware are known for matching good customer support..
while also making quality products that are reliable, have low RMA %^, few dead pixels and last a decade..
***the downside to these brands is often they cost you either an arm and a leg (alienware & eizo).. or are not as advanced as the competiotion (dell & eizo) lacking a few features.
You're funny.
Hopefully the Dell 31.5 inch 1440p 165hz gaming monitor i just ordered will run starfield much smoother because sometimes i get the odd stutter and frame drop from exiting my space ship and running around on planets and even in gunfights.
Not keen on AMD processors... I've always gone with intel.
I might in future give amd a go.
