Suggest antivirus software to defeat windows defender?
main requirement for it would be that it does nothing, does not use RAM and lets windows defender think that there is AV installed.

Use the Win11Debloat script on Github. It won't disable Windows Defender but instead gets arid of bloatware and unneeded applications freeing up ram.

Keep the Windows Defender on.

Wow. And what are you gonna do with 200MB RAM?
I've noticed a few folks who see any RAM in use they did not specifically authorize as like having a squatter take up residence in your computer. They could have 128 GB of RAM, most of it free, and they'll be all up in arms about the 1-2 GB some browser is using.

It's more of that they don't care about how much their internet browser take. But some random program taking 200-500 MB or more? Heresy!
They will then go on a crusade to try and fix this. When in reality it won't help with performance.

Unused ram is wasted ram okay but I think this attitude is helpful. If there are people who are very mindful of the resource usage spotting memory leaks would be faster.

Say, a person with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ computer is using a software with an undocumented memory leak. Overtime the bits will stack way too much and the program will crash. The person will either investigate the issue and report the leak or they will think "well my computer sucks so that's why" and make nothing of it.

A person with a high-end or reasonably powerful computer will most likely notice the memory usage that's on ridiculously high levels and report the leak.

Obviously this scenerio assumes that the person with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ computer doesn't give a ♥♥♥♥ about tech so I'm unsure how well of an argument this is.

First off, do no ride the net and download things without an AV. You literally NEED ONE on Windows. PERIOD. No amount of "Im SmArT i DoNt NeEd An aNtIvIrUs!" will erase that fact, theres simply WAY too many attack vectors to not protect your self.

Windows Defender has gone from a joke to being on the upper echelon of AV programs.

Yes Microsoft messes up just about everything and Defender isn't perfect but it actually is better than the rest as it doesn't bombard you with adds and ruin your disk performance randomly.

You also need Defender to use the MS Store and Xbox apps. Period.

Why on earth are you trying to disable it?
stop talking like this man, say how it is - YOU need me to have AV, so that viruses don't spread to you.
i don't care about you though.

@Omega you just called game Rimworld malicious trash.
btw i "solved" the problem, really it will have to be solved on devs end.
but for now i had to enable "randomize memory allocations (bottom-up ASLR) for it, unfortunately...

I didn't.

What does randomized memory allocation have to do with any of this?

You dont need an antivirus sayers is usually the people who showed up at the repair shop i worked at with their bricked pcs here is the issue no av makes it so any site you use and sites linked to them has unfiltered acces to your pc so the fear is mainly your pc might be used in a bot net to commit cyber attacks but its yout choice if you think those 200mbs of ram is worth more that your pc its all up to you alot of ppl forgot before windows defender got good avs costed alot with their annual fees but i take you already understand the consuquences thats why i said they should just deal with it and you wont come later asking why stuff isnt working correctly or why wierd popups shows up on screen
