I Want To Purge All My Audio Drivers?
How might I do this, and what need I be careful about.

I think I have conflicting audio drivers, TF2 sounds... wrong, same windows install 4th machine. Changing to linux soon.

There really is no need to purge every audio driver you've installed on the OS.
Simply go to where the App is listed in OS Settings (where you uninstall apps) and uninstall it to wipe the audio driver and any extra software it might have had. Reboot and install the latest from their official website. If it is any kind of onboard audio (like Realtek) get that from the Motherboard support website, since Realtek no longer releases stand-alone drivers to the general public. After it has been installed, the OS Settings for all the Audio will now be defaults once again. So ensure to configure everything needed.

How do I know what is used and what isn't?

Again there is no need to do that; they'll just get reinstalled anyways.
Just Disable un-used devices listed in mmsys.cpl
playback and recording.

It's pretty common sense what all of that is.
