My Hisense Roku tv just shut off and won't turn on.
I don't know how to fix this. I've changed outlets, held the reset button for more than 15 seconds, changed the batteries in the remote, nothing is working.

The red light under the TV keeps flashing and that's all.

Tried looking at it's Manual? If it's LED is flashing it's likely to be in the trouble shooting section. That or just search the net and include the model not just brand
Leave it unplugged for an hour or 2.
may be a bad backlight led

take a bright flashlight and put it directly to the screen, if you can see a partial image around it, it has no backlight
what model is it?
About all you can do is unplug it from power socket for 15mins or so and try a different hdmi cable or port. If you get a picture you can go into menu and factory reset and/or check for updated firmware.
Id look for a blown capacitor

"Hisense"....there's your problem

I have one going on 5 years and works decent. Nothing wrong with it hardware wise. Just got another also and so far so good.

Software wise the os is kind of buggy though.

Meanwhile I saw someone recently who said they got two Samsung's in a row that went out

So, Hisense being terrible as a brand might be a bit I inaccurate.
Had a cheaper 55 inch TCL Roku TV that would turn on, screen would flash, but wouldn't show anything, hold a flashlight to the TV you could see something and hear the menu navigate, I bought a used power board from a similar TV on ebay and it worked for me, that was a few years ago, still working like a champ, Not saying thats your problem, but if you do go that route, parts are relatively cheap on them cheap TV's and most ebay sellers will accept returns so, maybe worth a shot if you are willing to take it apart.
