Do you have a page file set to use the hard drive?

Have you tried running your PC and the game with the hard drive disconnected to test if it still occurs?

What are the rest of your specs? Are you sure it's not just your system being underpowered for the game?

Your overall system specs are incredibly important when trying to play RUST.

It would be helpful to know what those specs are. Also, you should have a minimum of 16GBs of system memory to play the game, if you like to multi-task or stream while playing RUST; 24GBs or more would be recommended.

I have a GTX 1080 I5 8600k and 16GB of ram which is a bit to little but the usage is about 14-15 when i play

Rust maps load slowly, it's always been like that. Always takes me a few minutes to load into a server and I use an NVMe drive.

A few months back they added an experimental feature that makes better use of SSDs for faster world loading to solve this issue, but it's extremely buggy, more often than not you'll end up crashing.

Ty for the comments found out the problem was that my pagefile was set to my hdd and when i started running out of ram it put the load on the hdd

I thought that may be the case.

I'd consider getting more RAM, and in the meantime, the SSD is the best place to have your page file. There's really no reason to put it on an HDD over an SSD.
