Xbox360 Wireless Controller Battery Check?
I'm using Xbox 360 Wireless controller, and previously when I press the Home Button (Button with X logo in the middle) then the battery level appears on desktop screen. But now it's gone for some reason, I try to press the home button but nothing appears!!! How can I get it back ? what's the issue?

U shouldn't even need to use that app for checking the battery.
The green lights around the X/Home button will flash back and forth in X pattern when the batteries are nearly dead.

But to answer your question, make sure XboxStat.exe is running in Task Manager > Processes.
As it should be in your Windows Startup. However it likes to crash/auto-end itself when used during certain games. To manually open it back up without rebooting, go to Start Menu > All Programs > Microsoft Xbox 360 Accessories > and click Microsoft Xbox 360 Accessories Status; which is the app in question.

sounds like you closed the x360stat program
browse to program files(x86)\microsfot xbox 360 accessores
and run xboxstat.exe

when connecting they go in a circle,
when batteries are low/dead they will flash in the x pattern (1+4, 2+3)

Xboxstat is running in task manager and I end it and run it again for confirmation, but still nothing, it seems that it's not compatible with Windows 8.1?

Not 100% on that, but it would seem so atm.
At least the controller works fine, correct?
