GPU only at 75% power consumption?
I'm trying to get the most out of my GPU, so what I did was put FC3 on max settings (AA 8x, HBAO, Ultra preset, etc) and try it out. Lo and behold, in Afterburner the GPU power usage was only at 75% out of 150%. Is this normal or is my card buggy?

Is 1072 the Actual Base Clock or is it the Boost Clock, with as high as it is it sounds more like the boost speed.

K-Boost as i explained before keeps the clocks raised to maximum. If you have a 900mhz base clock and a 1072 Boost Clock it'd make the GPU run at 1072 no matter how demanding a game is until you deactivate it.

Power Target also as i explained before has to do with overclocking and the Boost clock. a High overclock would require more power for it to be stable, thats what Power Target is for.

It's factory OC'd, 1072mhz is the base and 1137 is the boost. KBoost has little effect on gaming for me, it also didn't do much in terms of power usage. For some reason, I'm now getting 80% power usage but that's all. Also, would power target help for regular use?
Theres no harm in raising it.

i have an EVGA 660 Ti, my PT only goes up to 123%, but i have a Clock Offset of +105 and a Mem Offset of +235 which is a decent overclock.

I'll look into this, I think the main thing holding me back is my memory clock.
EDIT: Thanks to everyone for the help!

If you have a decent CPU cooler you could try using the Turbo Boost overclock to 3.8 or 3.9ghz, whichever the Turbo is for that CPU.

May help you a little bit as well, my i5 2500k is OC'd to 4.3ghz.

Nah I don't, plus I really don't want to risk it either. My CPU only operates around 30-40% during gaming anyhow.
Hello, hope someone will see my message I'm having the same problem in 2020 :D Please help , I worked on this alot but in the end I find a solution to ''decrease'' my power target to 75, if it is on stock options 100 my fps is droping drasticly , when I increase my power target to 125 it even decreases more but if I lower the power target to exact 75 I start to get high fps rates. And same goes with 3d benchmark points aswell, I get the highest point at 75 power target on after burner.

Specs
i9 9900k
2080 ti oc edition
32 gb memory 3200
asus rog maximus X hero (motherboard)
and my v sync is off aswell , I'm playing competetive games
Monitor resolution?
Power supply?

And also, go through the thread and make sure what you're talking about is the same.
