Overclocking Problem
When I overclock my gpu at about 70 degrees it stops working. I read in another forum that 70 degrees an alright temp for a gpu, so what's the problem? Maybe my cpu? PLEASE HELP!

The temperature IS the problem. Normally people would replace parts like better fans or liquid cooling to GPU. 70 is certainly not OK for me.

Don't OC your GPU if you can't cool it properly. The heat around PCI slots also increase the overall temperature inside the case, affecting all hardware inside .

It will not be the temperature. 70 degrees C is absolutely fine. The noodle above is paranoid about temperatures. My graphics card gets up to 86 degrees C and I don't raise an eye brow. All modern graphics cards can withstand 90+ degrees and operate fine. This is not advisable because it will likely shorten its life but they are capable.

You have probably over volted it causing instability and a blue screen. (You need to explain what you see when it "stops working"). What graphics card are you using? What is your power supply? Do some internet research, you'll find out what is wrong.
Post your complete computer specs and what you are overclocking.

My specs:
Cpu: Amd 8320
Gpu: Xfx 7950
Psu: Cx750
Mobo: Asus m5a99fx pro r2.0
Memory: Corsair vengeance

As for what I see (or what happens) at a certain point it just closes the program being used
(i.e Heaven) and then I just have to start task manager and end the program and start again

Ps. if you need to know more about my specs just ask, also don't say nuthin bout me runnin AMD :P
70 C is normal for higher end graphics cards so that is not causing it. Most likely you are just trying too big overclock, tune it down until it works normally.
You may also have already factory overclocked card that would not take big overclocks.
Also every chip is different, some chip maybe just cant take much overclocking at all.
It starts out at 1000 so i turned it up to 1075 and it is doing it

When buying any chip whether it be a CPU or a GPU you play the sillicone lottery. This is basically a metaphor for not all chips are the same and some overclock much more well than others. It might be the case that your chip can't go higher than 1000MHz, and in that case you will have to stick with it I'm afraid. Look at the voltages, look at the AMD website and find out the original core clock. It could have had a core clock of 925MHz to begin with and might have been OCd to 1000MHz by the manufacturer.
hope I won :) (not looking good though):(
1000 Mhz is already quite high overclock for HD 7950. You are already getting really good performance so put it back to 1000 Mhz and all should be ok.
I will until i figure out the problem then it's getting overoverclocked :)
