RAM over DDR3-1600 without XMP
Hey,
I'm wondering if anyone has found any RAM over DDR3-1600 in SPD very importantly NOT using XMP. For example DDR3-2133 with a AMD A10-6800K APU that booted natively as DDR3-2133 without requiring any tweaking, tuning or overclocking.

What CPU & motherboard are you using?

I'm specifically asking about RAM that is plug and play and does not require either manual tuning / overclocking or a system with XMP support. For example that would work on a AMD system which of course does not use Intel XMP.

I have only been able to find "true" DDR3-1600 CAS 9 which will actually run the rated speed without any manual adjustments or overclocking. It's Patriot Viper 3 and G. Skill Ripjaws X line also has some like it but it isn't all like that and some runs DDR3-1333 insteead regardless of what is advertised.

I've also bought some Mushkin DDR3-2400. Which is for some reason only running DDR3-1333. Even though my system supports DDR3-1866 (without overclocking the CPU's IMC, the motherboard supports higher RAM speeds) and the Mushkin is advertised as being able to tune itself to the "optimum speed" for my system. Which DDR3-1333 is certainly not...

So I'm guessing the Mushkin would run at the right speed if I had Intel XMP support but AMD systems do not have that and it didn't say anything about requiring it in the advertising.

Patriot Viper 3 which I mentioned is able to run DDR3-1600 has the same problem at any speed over that. It will only boot as DDR3-1600 even if advertised as higher.

So I'm wondering, has anyone found any RAM that is actually DDR3 above 1600 in SPD?

I'm not talking about RAM with XMP allowing it to go faster. I'm talking without XMP and you either need to disable XMP & reset your CMOS / RAM or else have a AMD system to be able to test this and give me a proper answer.
