Logitech G500s button fix? Logitech Gaming Software fix?

I have said mouse and the Logitech Gaming Software nor the games pick up one of the buttons, it's the middle thumb button. It works when I use the software to assign it to a button with On-board memory. I can't get the damn button to work and it puts me off when I play FPS's. HELP!

I don't know if you are still about, but I bought one of these on Friday last, and had awful trouble, as that middle button regardless of the profile I had set up, just did not work. Then I remembered that previously I had installed a product called USB Overdrive, and as soon as I had deleted that the mouse button worked fine

What?? That is odd, I have been using my logitech G500S and logitech gaming software for over half a year and no trouble what so ever.

Try reinstalling logitech gaming software.

I sorted it... I had another product installed called USB overdrive, and there was some sort of conflict. As soon as I deleted USB overdrive and reset the profiles all has been fine.

I know this thread is ancient, but has anyone else found a fix besides the one listed here? I don't have USB overdrive and to my knowledge never have. I've had my G500S for probably 4 years and the middle thumb button has never been recognized by any software ever except for the logitech software.
